Our virtual pipelines are cost-effective, efficient, flexible and reliable supply chains that provide commercial consumers access to natural gas in remote locations and with comparatively short term contracts.

Our modular solution allows the virtual pipeline to be expanded or contracted to suit the customer’s needs and to be relocated should a more preferable location be found for either customer or gas supply.

With our unique solution natural gas (as LNG) can be economically delivered to any volume customer within range of a gas supply point (including biogas, bio-methane, landfill and coal mine gases) to be used as a lower cost, cleaner and greener fuel for many applications.

Our LNG virtual pipeline can also be used to capture isolated, stranded, waste or flare gases and injecting them into nearby high pressure gas pipeline systems or delivering direct to end customers.

Cool

Natural gas is cleaned to remove impurities and then cooled down to -162 degrees celsius at which point it condenses into a liquid (LNG)

Transport

The LNG is transported in vacuum insulated road tankers, ISO containers or ships from the production plant to the customer's facility

The LNG is transferred into vacuum insulated storage tanks on site where it remains as on site fuel storage, similar to diesel

Use

The LNG is either transferred directly into vehicle storage tanks for transport use or drawn into heat exchanges that vaporise the liquid back into natural gas which is then supplied into the customer's on-site gas pipework

High pressure gas pipelines are an economical way to transport commercial quantities of gas to the end consumer. However these pipelines are expensive, have a multi-year lead time and require a long term view (often decades) and consistent demand to be feasible. Gas Pipelines can not be relocated, so the total upfront capital cost has to be re-paid by the foundation gas customer(s).

Our LNG virtual pipeline solutions overcome these hurdles with cost-effective, efficient, flexible and reliable supply chains that provide commercial consumers access to natural gas even in remote locations and with comparatively short term contracts.

Starting at a nearby gas source, we liquefy the gas by cooling it down to -162°C into on-site cryogenic storage vessels, similar to oversized vacuum flasks, at the LNG Production Plant. We then transfer the LNG into specialised cryogenic road tankers and deliver it into LNG storage vessels at the customer’s site (LNG Satellite Station). The LNG Satellite Station system draws the LNG from the LNG storage tanks and passes it through ambient heat vapourisers to warm it up and allow it to return to its natural gaseous state. Odourant is added to the gas (naturally it has no smell) and the natural gas is then supplied at standard gas supply pressure into the customer application.

The entire virtual pipeline is integrated with our proprietary Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that continuously that monitors pressure, inventory, temperature and ambient conditions.
